I Want To Share This With You….

I have a friend that I  made through Freeravin, she loved my stuff and always purchased designs from me.  We began emailing one another and came close getting to know one another through a mutual friend.  Then a couple of days ago she sent me this email…

Dear Scarlet,

I have to tell you something.  The majority of the women who tell me they are going to, or have, purchased earrings from you are the total antithesis, the absolute opposite of who may be expected to purchase handmade feather earrings. Seriously. Not on the inside, obviously, but on the outside. There’s something about your designs, that seems to bring the most polar-fleece-bad, old style jeans-wearing, grey hair fading, no makeup, out of themselves into recognizing something beautiful in the visual designs and the intent and the energy that somehow gets conveyed by your designs. ANd they ask me where I get them, digest it and months, days or weeks later, ask me for the website again, and then buy something. You are infectious and doing something deeper than just selling earrings and necklaces.
I wish I were doing the same, but that’s not why I wrote.  I wanted to acknowledge what you are doing, and let you know it is happening. Maybe you let these otherwise plain women, feel their beauty from inside and express it outside.. let them reveal their truel selves through the sensuous beauty of your designs… help them tap into pieces of themselves they don’t often visit.  What a great gift.
Love to you Scarlet,
Mary Jean

And this is why I do what I do…
